Amazon Influencer – July updates you missed

by Data Coach Claire | Jul 24, 2026

Hi Reader!

Amazon Influencer changes fast.

This is the first issue of a new monthly series where I round up the big changes that matter, so you’re never the last one to know. Here’s what’s new this month, and how to leverage it:

Big Software Updates

(contains affiliate links)

Cha-Ching Sales (free) rolled out a huge update that shows you exactly how much you’ve earned on each individual product.

I worked with the developer, Chris, on the design for this one specifically so it would do two things well: show you which products are actually making you money, and let you track your investment products over time. It is so cool!! Detailed demo coming to my YouTube channel soon.

ViralVue recently added 3 awesome ‘history’ tools to help you make more strategic decisions:

  • Creator Connections campaign history, now live inside the ViralVue web app (coming soon to the product page too). Look up any ASIN and see whether it’s had active CC campaigns in the past, not just right now. A product might not have a campaign today but the brand runs one every other month, and that pattern is worth knowing before you decide what to buy or request as a sample.
  • Sales volume history, added to the product page. You can now see how a product has actually sold over time instead of just Amazon’s current count. If you have Keepa mostly for the basic sales history, this is a solid replacement for that piece. I still like having more detailed volume estimates than this gives you, so I’ll teach more on that in an upcoming newsletter.
  • Placement history, showing how often (or when) your video has been placed, not just whether it’s placed today. This is most useful when you’re deciding whether to mess with an existing video: update the title, swap the thumbnail, or retag it to a different product version. Check the history first. A video that’s not placed today but has been placed every other day for a month probably just got rotated out, not dropped for good.

Oink Pro just added a massive update to its product research functionality. This was just released today, so I’m excited to try it out in the next few weeks. (code CLAIRE get’s 10% off pro)

Creator Kit: New software built to help you find deals worth sharing and search Creator Connections more efficiently, especially handy if you’re hunting for products to post offsite.

New resources to learn from

LyPad Academy, from Andy Ly: Andy makes $20k-40k a month in the program, and a big part of that comes from building a team of virtual assistants to help him get more done in fewer hours. His new course, HireUp, teaches exactly how to hire, train, and leverage a virutal assistant in your business. I used his approach to hire my own VA and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my business this year.

Claire + Nicole Vincent + Podcast = The Storefront Strategy Podcast! Nicole and I have been sharing Amazon Influencer Strategy on YouTube for a while, and you can now catch those episodes on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

Amazon updates

No major platform change to report this month, but a note on ViralVue’s placement history tool: Amazon regularly tests new videos tagged to a product, and to make room for that test, it will rotate off older videos, including ones that are performing well. If the video is still outperforming the new ones, Amazon tends to bring it back. So a video dropping off the carousel isn’t automatically a sign something’s wrong with it.

What top earners are focused on right now

I’ve been asking top-earning influencers what’s top of mind for them now, and three things keep coming up:

  • tracking earnings by product
  • leaning more heavily into product investing
  • leveling up video quality before Q4 hits
  • total video count doesn’t matter anymore – it’s more about the quality of the videos already there

What’s coming up next

  • Sign ups for my next class of Build Past $1k close next Saturday, August 1st.
  • In August I’ll send you a link to fill out my semi-annual State of the Amazon Influencer survey, so we can see what’s actually working right now. I’ll then compile the results and share it back to you at the beginning of September.
  • In September I’m running the September Sprint Challenge, a guided push to post at least 100 videos during the month. I’ll be doing it right alongside you.
  • 70 days until the start of Q4! Now is the time to get your strategy solid, especially on product research.

(Just for fun) – my favorite thing on Amazon this month – 📖 my sister’s novels! Regency + romance + dragons

To your success,

Claire
